The Nigerian forward has been one of the revelations of the season in the French elite division
Jerome Akor Adams has been named the winner of Montpellier’s Player of the Month award for October, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 23-year-old striker, who joined the club in the summer from Norway’s Lillestrom, outshone his teammate Joris Chotard to claim the accolade.
Akor’s impressive feat saw him secure a total of four goals in three October matches, contributing significantly to Montpellier’s success on the field.

After netting three goals in as many games in August, Adams failed to hit the target in three matches in September.
But the former Flying Eagles star turned up the style in October as he bagged a brace in the 0-3 win at Lorient on the first day of the month.
Nantes were able to cage Adams as the Canaries claimed a 2-0 win immediately after the international break.
However, Adams was back among the goals in Montpellier’s last match of the month, as he scored twice to lead the team to a 3-0 victory over Toulouse.

Adams now has seven goals in nine Ligue 1 games for Montpellier, the second-highest goalscorer haul behind PSG striker Kylian Mbappe, who has ten.
The former Sogndal forward is the most prolific Nigerian player in the French top flight, boasting at least four more goals than any of OGC Nice ace Terem Moffi, Nantes winger Moses Simon, and Lorient star.
On the international scene, Adams has represented Nigeria at the U20 level. Still, he has expressed his desire to play for the Super Eagles at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
