In-form English midfielder, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall opened the scoring after a pass from Wilfred Ndidi was deflected into the path of the 25-year-old Hall, who wasted no time in putting the ball into the bottom corner.
Fifteen minutes later, Super Eagles duo, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi combined for Leicester's second. Dewsbury-Hall found Ndidi in space again, who passed a first-time ball across the six-yard box for Iheanacho to tap home from close range.

Dewsbury-Hall added the icing on the cake in the last minute of the ninety for Maresca's men. Kelechi Iheanacho's shot was parried by Preston's Freddie Woodman, but he could do nothing as Hall rebounded the ball into the back of the net.
