The Nigeria international has been one of the finest performers for the Canaries since the start of the season
Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has earned a nomination for the Nantes Player of The Month award for October, Soccernet.ng reports.
Simon’s nomination for the club’s best player honour is down to his standout performance for the Canaries throughout the month.
The competition for the prestigious award is fierce, with three other talented midfielders vying for the title. The top contenders are Florent Mollet, Pedro Chirivella, and Marcus Coco, who have all shown commendable performances in their respective roles.
Among the nominees, Mollet is the frontrunner, having scored once and provided an assist in three appearances during the month.
Simon, despite his consistent and impactful contributions, registered only one goal assist in the same period.
Adding to the mix, Nantes skipper Chirivella secured one goal in October, while Marcus Coco equally found the back of the net once during the month.
The club’s official website released a statement, calling upon the supporters of the Yellow and Green to cast their votes. “It’s time for you, supporters of the Yellow and Green, to elect the Canary who distinguished himself the most in October! You have the choice between Pedro CHIRIVELLA, Marcus COCO, Florent MOLLET, and Moses SIMON.”
Simon has been with Nantes since joining initially on loan from Levante in 2019 and permanently the following year.
The 28-year-old has scored 28 goals and provided 31 assists in 156 games during that time, helping the Canaries win the Coupe de France in 2022.
