Onumonu represented The United States of America's Under-23 National team before opting to play for the Super Falcons of Nigeria in 2021.
National Women Soccer League side, NY/NJ Gotham F.C. has celebrated Super Falcon's right-winger, Ifeoma Chukwufumnaya Onumonu after the player hit a century of games for the club, Soccernet.ng reports.
Onumonu, 29, joined The Bats in 2019 from the NWSL side, OL Reign, and since then, she has donned the jersey of her club a hundred times.
Ahead of the club's game against Kansas City Currents, the Nigerian was presented with a jersey, appreciating her for her time there.

The game ended in a two-all draw, meaning Gotham qualified for the playoffs on goal difference, and will travel to play North Carolina Courage in the quarterfinals of the 2023 NWSL Playoffs on Sunday, October 22nd.
The club also bid American legend, Ali Krieger, farewell after the 39-year-old announced she'd be retiring at the end of the playoffs, bringing her two-decade career to an end, with a hundred and seventy-six appearances for Gotham F.C.

Onumonu started her professional career after she was drafted by Boston Breakers in 2017. Since then, she has gone on to play for Portland Thorns and Reign FC before moving to Gotham FC in 2020.
She has 18 caps for Nigeria after previously representing the United States of America at youth level. She was also part of Coach Waldrum's squad at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia/New Zealand and featured in all of the Super Falcons' games.
