The Nigeria international did not have the best of times in England last term and may be on the way to Turkey to revive his career
Former Super Liga champions Trabzonspor have reportedly secured the signing of Emmanuel Dennis from Nottingham Forest, beating out competition from Saudi Arabian club Al-Taee, Soccernet.ng understands.
Al-Taee had been closely monitoring the situation surrounding Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis, with the Saudi Pro League’s transfer window still open for business.
While Premier League clubs could not make new acquisitions, they retained the option to offload players, and Dennis appeared to be on Al-Taee’s radar.
Transfer journalist Rudy Galetti (via Tribal Football) had indicated that Al-Taee were genuinely interested in securing the services of the Nigerian international.
Dennis, who made a high-profile move to Nottingham Forest from Watford last summer, had endured a challenging stint, managing just two goals in 19 appearances for the struggling side.
However, the tide seems to have turned in Trabzonspor’s favour.
According to Turkish news outlet Sporx, Al-Taee’s pursuit of Dennis hit a last-minute snag, resulting in the cancellation of the transfer.
Seizing the opportunity, Trabzonspor swiftly stepped in and successfully negotiated a loan deal with Nottingham Forest for Dennis.
As things stand, Emmanuel Dennis is on the brink of donning the Trabzonspor jersey on a one-year loan deal, which could potentially revive his career and provide the Turkish club with added attacking prowess.
