It begins in the England Championship, where Bristol City and West Brom played out a goalless draw at Ashton Gate Stadium. Semi Ajayi and Josh Maja featured for West Brom.

In Italy, Samuel Chukwueze experienced his first defeat with AC Milan as they suffered a heavy 5-1 loss to city rivals Inter Milan.

Victor Osimhen’s Napoli fought back from a two-goal deficit to secure a 2-2 draw against Genoa, with the Nigerian striker failing to find the net.
