In the course of the game, Victor Boniface had chances where he could have scored, but it just wasn't meant to be. Speaking to Sky.de, Boniface said;
“It was just a day, the ball didn't want to go in. That's football, sometimes you just don't meet. After the game, I couldn't even listen to the coach what said to us because I thought I had to score one or two goals.”
A draw against the record champions turned out to be an even result, but Leverkusen remain top of the Bundesliga, with four wins in five games.
