Super Falcons and F.C. Barcelona Femení striker, Asisat Oshoala has heaped praises on Remo-Stars President, Kunle Soname for the facilities he put in place at the club to bring the best out of the players, Soccernet.ng reports.
The forward also visited the club’s youth side, Beyond Limits Football Academy to encourage the academy footballers in their football journey and told them to make the best use of the facilities, labelling the structure as the base in the country.
Kunle Soname, founded Remo Stars in 2004, and since then, the club has grown in leaps and bounds, and they’re in the current edition of the CAF Confederation’s cup, and is the owner of the Portuguese club, club C.D Feirense which he acquired in 2015.

Her presence would send shivers down the spine of the academy players in what was a truly inspiring speech by the Nigerian Striker. Speaking to the academy players, She said;
“We have to be honest with ourselves, this is like the best facility you can see in Nigeria right now. With the kind of opportunity you actually have here, I know some of you actually value it, but talking from my experience, how I grew up, and the kind of things I had in my environment, I’m actually jealous of you people.”
Speaking of her relationship with the owner of the club, and his love for football development at the grassroots level in Nigeria, the twenty-eight-year-old was totally in awe of the facilities put in place.
“I’m really happy to be here at Remo to meet with the club’s chairman. I could recollect that the chairman sponsored my foundation project in 2016, which today gave birth to so many sponsors in my foundation project. I’m also wowed by the level at which football is in Ikenne. The facility here is World Class, from the stadium to lecture rooms, to the gym. This is the same you experience and see in Europe.”
Mr Soname also mentioned his goals and aspirations for the academy players, and why the facilities are there for them to use.
“That is what we all aspire to do, to play in top teams in the world. To be in Barcelona, it takes hard work. When I knew her, she was just like you, now look at her today.”
Asisat is currently spending time in Nigeria after the Super Falcons exited the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia to eventual finalists, England, on penalties.
