Awoniyi, who plays for Nottingham Forest, showcased his remarkable form by finding the back of the net against Manchester United within just two minutes of the match's commencement.

The Nottingham Forest striker showcased his prowess by skillfully evading United's last defender, propelling himself forward to confidently slot home the opening goal after only two minutes of play.

This marks Awoniyi's third consecutive game in which he has scored, previously hitting the target against both Arsenal and Sheffield United in the two preceding matches.

Adding to the early lead, Willy Boly doubled Nottingham Forest's advantage merely two minutes later, as a disjointed Manchester United side scrambled to regain control of the game.

However, Manchester United managed to pull one back through Christian Eriksen, who capitalized on a starting opportunity in place of the injured Mason Mount, netting a goal for the Red Devils in the 17th minute.
