Transfers: Osimhen could earn ₦200billion in latest Al Hilal bid

The former Saudi Arabian champions submitted a bid earlier, but Napoli rejected it

Former Saudi Arabian champion Al Hilal are offering Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen a three-year deal worth €150million(₦150billion) with a further year option, Soccernet reports.

The Saudi Arabian Professional League has witnessed an influx of some of the best players from Europe in recent years.

Their clubs have tempted top players in Europe with mouthwatering offers, and that has proved to be an effective strategy.

Former champions Al Hilal have employed that approach in pursuing Nigerian striker Osimhen. They submitted an earlier bid of €140million to Napoli in an attempt to sign their star man. The former Saudi Arabian champions also offered Osimhen €1million weekly.

However, both parties rejected that offer as Napoli will not consider any bid less than €180million. Also, Osimhen wants to remain in Europe amidst interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich.

Nonetheless, Al Hilal are not backing down, as Nicolo Schira reports that the Saudi side is offering Osimhen a three-year deal worth €150million with the option of a year extension. If he agrees, he will make €200million(200billion) in four years.

If Osimhen eventually moves to Saudi Arabia this summer, he would be the most expensive departure from the Serie A. Also, he would become the most expensive signing by a Saudi Arabian club.
