Wilfred Ndidi started Leicester City’s opening game of the Championship season last weekend following weeks of speculations linking him with a move away from the club.
Turkish giants Fenerbahçe are in talks with Leicester City for the signing of Wilfred Ndidi before the end of the transfer window, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Yellow Canaries are working on bolstering their midfield ahead of the new season and have identified the Nigerian as a top target.
It has now been reported that Fenerbahçe has made an initial £8m offer to Leicester City, with the Turkish club’s sporting director Mario Branco also in contact with Ndidi and his representatives.
The 26-year-old midfielder is looking to leave Leicester City following the club’s relegation from the Premier League last season and favors a move to the Yellow-Navy Blues, according to Turkish outlet Yeni Safak.
It was also reported that Ndidi contacted Joseph Yobo and Emmanuel Emenike, who were once in their careers represented Fenerbahçe, on the good factors associated with joining the club.
Ndidi has a year left on his contract at the King Power Stadium after extending his contract with the club in the summer of 2018 and has also been attracting interest from Premier League clubs.
