Michael Olise is one of the most exciting youngsters in the Premier League after a stellar season with Crystal Palace that saw him make 11 assists in 37 league matches

Chelsea are believed to have agreed to a £35m deal with Crystal Palace for the signing of Super Eagles-eligible winger, Michael Olise, Soccernet.ng reports

The 21-year-old France U-21 International would join several new signings at Chelsea if the deal is completed.

Olise is presently injured after tearing his hamstring at the Under-21 European Championship and is not expected to be back until the end of September.

The English-born winger joined Palace for £8m from Reading in the summer of 2021 on a five-year contract.

He has since gone on to establish himself as one of the most exciting youngsters in England and enjoyed a remarkable year for Palace, winning the player’s player of the season and the club’s goal of the season awards.

His remarkable stats for the Eagles last campaign earned him the accolade of being their first-ever player to register 10 or more assists in a Premier League season, the youngest-ever player to claim three assists from open play in one Premier League match, and his 11 assists ranked him fourth in the league.

Chelsea finished a distant 12th place in the league last season and have been the busiest in the transfer window, they have already signed Colombia international Moises Caicedo for £115m, and have agreed to a £35m deal with Crystal Palace for Olise as reported by The Athletic.

Olise was born in England to a Nigerian father and this makes him eligible to represent Nigeria at U-23 and senior level.
