Odion Ighalo will square off with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Karim Benzema, and an array of other top-tier European players in Saudi League this season
Former Al-Hilal striker, Odion Ighalo, has signed a contract with Saudi Pro League outfit Al Wehda, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Mecca-based club officially announced the deal via their social media channels, confirming Ighalo's commitment for a one-year term with the option for a potential extension.
Ighalo, renowned for his notable achievements during his time in Saudi Arabia, including securing the Saudi League championship and the King's Cup with Al-Hilal and Al-Shabab, is set to embark on a new chapter with Al Wehda.
Earlier reports had suggested that the former Watford forward was contemplating a return to play in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) for a period of six months to a year, as revealed in his interview on Elegbete TV.
It was also noted that reigning NPFL champions, Enyimba, had expressed interest in acquiring the services of the ex-Manchester United striker.

However, recent developments have seen Ighalo's decision to make a return to the Saudi League, donning the colours of the Knights of Mecca.

Al Wehda's next league fixture on Friday will see them host Ighalo's former Saudi League club, Al Shabab, and there is anticipation for Ighalo's potential inclusion in his new team's lineup.
