Confederation of African Football (CAF) recently shared a captivating video in celebration of Nigerian football legend, Nwankwo Kanu, on his 47th birthday, Soccernet.ng reports.

The video showcased the remarkable skills and prowess of the two-time African Player of the Year, reminding both old and new generations of Kanu's extraordinary talent during his playing days.

Kanu had an illustrious career as a former forward for the Nigeria national team, leaving an indelible mark on the football world.

From his early success at the 1993 FIFA U-17 World Championship, where he played a pivotal role in Nigeria's victory over Ghana in the final, to his crucial goal in the 1996 Olympics that secured the gold medal for Nigeria, Kanu's achievements have been nothing short of remarkable.

Throughout his club career, Kanu showcased his brilliance in top European leagues, including Dutch side Ajax, Inter Milan, and English clubs like Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion, and Portsmouth.

His impressive list of honours includes a UEFA Champions League medal, a UEFA Cup medal, three FA Cup medals, and two African Player of the Year awards, among others.

Known for his skilful dribbling, exquisite ball control, and ability to score crucial goals, Kanu was a force to be reckoned with on the field.

He made 86 appearances for Nigeria, scoring 13 goals, and became one of the most-capped Nigerian players of all time.
