From Akwa United to Moroccan club side, FUS Rabat, special twenty-year-old Nigerian defender, James Ajako, is set to make history abroad.
Moroccan Side, FUS Rabat have secured the services of Former Akwa United left-back, James Ajako after the youth prodigy left on a free transfer, Soccernet.ng reports.
Another NPFL talent leaves the shore of Nigeria to play abroad, in the person of twenty-year-old James Ajako,who will join FUS Rabat on a three-year deal.
He became a free agent at the end of last season and the Moroccan side wasted no time in making their intent known to the talented full-back.
It will come as a shock to the Akwa faithful how his contract wasn’t renewed, as Ajako scored three goals and set up another five in a stellar individual campaign, and was even included in the Nigeria Professional League Team of the Season, after what was truly a wonderful performance and his move abroad proves to be dividends for a job well done.
Fath Union Sport Rabat, popularly called FUS Rabat, are a professional football club in the Moroccan top-flight, a league consisting of sixteen teams in the first division.
FUS Rabat were third in the league last season and are looking to go a step further with the signature of James Ajako.
The Moroccan club won the CAF Confederations Cup in 2010 and will be participating in the tournament this coming season.
