Watch: Super Eagles player returns to Leicester City amid links to Saudi clubs, Nottingham Forest, Everton, and Besiktas

Kelechi Iheanacho has been linked away from Leicester City following the club’s relegation from the Premier League

Super Eagles and Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, has returned to Leicester City amidst the speculation he is leaving the club this summer, Soccernet.ng reports

Rumours have been about whether the striker will stay with Leicester City in the Championship following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.

The 26-year-old, who scored the winning goal for Nigeria over Sierra Leone in a recent qualifying match, still has a year left on his contract.

The former U17 forward, who was named the club’s best player at the end of last season with 8 goals and 5 assists, has been attracting interest from Nottingham Forest, Everton, Besiktas and a host of other clubs in England and abroad.

Meanwhile, Leicester City’s new manager Enzo Maresca has approved that players who are unwilling to continue with the club can leave.

However, Iheanacho, who spent his holiday with friends and family in Nigeria, has returned to the club for their pre-season games.

The Nigerian International has never commented regarding his future and has kept everything hidden, despite all the speculations in the media.
