Rumours have been about whether the striker will stay with Leicester City in the Championship following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
The 26-year-old, who scored the winning goal for Nigeria over Sierra Leone in a recent qualifying match, still has a year left on his contract.
The former U17 forward, who was named the club’s best player at the end of last season with 8 goals and 5 assists, has been attracting interest from Nottingham Forest, Everton, Besiktas and a host of other clubs in England and abroad.
Meanwhile, Leicester City’s new manager Enzo Maresca has approved that players who are unwilling to continue with the club can leave.
However, Iheanacho, who spent his holiday with friends and family in Nigeria, has returned to the club for their pre-season games.
