Taiwo Awoniyi scored 10 goals in 27 appearances last season for Nottingham Forest to keep them in the Premier League
Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, has returned to his England-based club Nottingham Forest after a well-deserved holiday in Nigeria, Soccernet.ng reports
The 25-year-old, who previously gave his verdict on former Manchester United star, Jesse Lingard, who left the City Ground stadium after his contract expired, was spotted all smiles as he resumed the pre-season training for the Tricky Trees.
The former Union Berlin forward was called into the squad for Nigeria’s recent qualifying match, where he played only 10 minutes of the game.
Awoniyi, who is known for his charitable attitude of giving back to fans, spent some parts of last season with injuries but was still able to help his teammates whenever he was on the pitch.
While in Nigeria, the former Union Berlin striker was spotted hanging out with old friends and teammates. He also visited some of his old schools to donate gifts.
He has now returned to Nottingham Forest as the club gear up for their second season in the Premier League. The Nigerian International goalscoring skills will again be valuable to his club in the new season.

The striker is likely to remain as Nottingham Forest’s first striker next season because the club has not been linked with another striker in this transfer window.
