Nigeria’s star forward, Victor Osimhen will take center stage in the official unveiling of Napoli’s new kits for the upcoming season, the club’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed, Soccernet.ng reports.
De Laurentiis has expressed his belief that Osimhen will perfectly model the club’s new jerseys and disclosed that the Super Eagles striker will participate in the presentation upon his return from vacation in Nigeria.
Osimhen will join his teammates in proudly donning and showcasing Napoli’s new home and away jerseys, which will soon hit the shelves of both online and offline stores.
Confirming this development, President De Laurentiis shared his thoughts, stating, “It’s a shirt that perfectly fits Osimhen. It will capture the Osimhen spirit, and we’ll snap a picture of him soon.”
This recent development is another indication that Napoli firmly believe Osimhen will continue his stay with the club, despite persistent reports linking him to a move abroad.
Napoli have even offered the 24-year-old forward a two-year contract extension, eagerly hoping he will sign it and remain in Naples unless a mind-boggling offer surfaces before the transfer window closes.
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly already presented a tempting €100 million bid for Osimhen, who impressively netted 26 goals in Serie A, propelling Napoli to their first Scudetto title in 33 years.
Unfazed by PSG’s offer, Napoli swiftly turned it down, uninterested in entertaining bids below €150 million.
As the hunt for a top-tier striker heats up, a potential bidding war looms, with Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich all vying for a player of Osimhen’s caliber.
