Italian journalist reveals key clause that could make Chelsea, Man United and PSG-linked Osimhen renew his contract at Napoli

Osimhen has been the subject of transfer talks this summer, but Napoli are keen on tying him down to a new contract

Italian journalist Carlo Alvino has stated that Napoli could reduce Victor Osimhen’s release clause to convince him to remain at Napoli, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Super Eagles striker has been one of the most talked about strikers this summer. He was superb for Napoli last season, netting 31 goals in 39 appearances, and some of Europe’s big boys are already queueing to get his signature.

However, Napoli do not want him to leave yet. In fact, they want to extend his deal, which is set to expire in 2025. Both parties have been on the negotiating table

There have been reports that Napoli will increase the 24-year-old’s salary to €6.5million yearly, making him the highest paid in the club’s history.

Well, Italian journalist Alvino has stated that the club would also reduce Osimhen’s valuation, so it would be easier for him to leave later.

Good news for Manchester United and Chelsea?

With this development, Manchester United, Chelsea, and other clubs interested in signing Osimhen would have to wait until next summer at least before they can get his services.

However his price tag would be reduced, and it would be easier for them to get him.
