Ex-Arsenal player joins Jamilu Collins at Cardiff City

Super Eagles left back Jamilu Collins recently returned to training after an eight-month absence due to injury

Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has returned to Cardiff City to team up with Super Eagles left-back, Jamilu Collins, Soccernet.ng reports

Ramsey, who spent 9 years with Arsenal returned to join The Bluebirds after 12 years of sojourn away from the club.

The 32-year-old will now team up with Nigeria's Jamilu Collins in the new season.

Collins recently returned to training for Cardiff City after a long absence due to an anterior cruciate ligament he suffered during the club's EFL game against West Brom in August last year.

While announcing the return of Wales International on its website, the club wrote,

Cardiff City FC is delighted to announce that Wale captain Aaron Ramsey has returned to the Welsh capital, signing a two-year deal with The Bluebirds.

Upon completing his return to his boyhood club, Ramsey said:

it feels unbelievable to be finally back here. I always thought one day I'd come back, and now it's the perfect time to do that.

Ramsey, who has once graced the Premier League in the colors of Arsenal, will endeavor to work with Collins in helping Cardiff City secure promotion back to the Premier League in the coming season.

The 28-year-old who joined the Welsh Club from Paderborn last year is expected to take a prominent role for Cardiff City next season after recovering from injury.

Collins has won 25 caps for the Super Eagles and was part of the squad that won Bronze at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Eygpt.
