Abiodun is making her first World Cup appearance with the Super Falcons in this year’s edition following her participation with the Falconets in the U-20 Women’s World Cup last year

Deborah Abiodun is delighting in her first Women’s World Cup appearance with the team, after making her debut for the Super Falcons in September last year, Soccernet.ng reports

The 19-year-old was called up to the senior female team after her brilliant outing at U-20 Women’s World Cup last year in Costa Rica, where she helped the Falconets to a quarterfinal finish.

Abiodun was included alongside ten other players by the Falcons’ Head coach Randy Waldrum to make their debut appearance in this year’s edition of the Women’s World Cup.

Expressing her delight in being part of the squad, Abiodun took to Twitter to express her happiness ahead of the team’s first game against Canada on Friday

Never Stop chasing your Dreams till it becomes a reality
I’m grateful to God and to every single person out there that has supported me in one way or the other, This is for all of you.
