Victor Osimhen's teammate and strike partner, Kvhicha Kvaratskhelia, has been awarded the Goal of the season after scoring a solo goal, soccernet.ng reports.
A tough name to pronounce for the average tongue, an even tougher footballer to handle, the Georgian winger enjoyed a stellar debut season with Napoli, racking up twelve goals and assisting ten in just thirty-three games whilst taking up the Serie A MVP Award and now has another award to his name.
The Serie A Goal of the Season award went to Kvaratskhelia, a goal he scored on the 11th of March 2023 against Ademola Lookman's Atalanta BC.
The goal came after Napoli had tried to break the deadlock, but to no avail, before Osimhen pounced on a loose ball from Zambo Anguissa and sent Kvara through on goal, and although he could have gone for goal directly, the left-winger took his time to go on a mazy solo run, twisting and turning, and dribbling the defenders alongside, before slotting the ball into the top-right corner to give Napoli the lead at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
