Galatasaray keep tabs on ₦67million per week Super Eagles star

Galatasaray won the Super Lig last season, and they are looking for some reinforcements as they look to retain their trophy

Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray are keeping tabs on Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi in view of a possible transfer, Soccernet.ng reports.

Just three seasons ago, Ndidi was one of the best defenders in the Premier League with Leicester City. And at some point, he was linked to Manchester United, but the deal did not materialize.

Unfortunately for the Nigerian defensive midfielder, Leicester City got relegated last season, and he failed to make a big impression.

Ndidi made 27 Premier League appearances last season. He had injuries and failed to reach his peak.

The 26-year-old’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season, and following Leicester City’s relegation, there is a possibility that he could leave.

According to Pesindeyiz Galatasaray, the Turkish kings are currently looking to sign the Nigerian star.

However, Ndidi is valued at €35million per transfermarkt, and that means that Galatasaray would have to break their transfer record to sign him.

Also, Ndidi’s ₦67million/week (£76,000) pay could be a tough one for Galatasaray could handle.

With the brilliance that he has shown in the past, some Premier League clubs may be interested in signing him, and they would easily meet his demands.
