Ademo signs for Sheriff, who stunned Madrid 1-2 at home in the Champions League two seasons ago.
Moldovan Giant, FC Sheriff Tiraspol, has completed the signing of Nigeria’s promising youth, Peter Oluwaseun Ademo, who last played for Lithuanian side DFK Dainava Atylus, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 20-year-old, who started his football career with Lagos-based amateur side Real Sapphire, initially moved to Latvian side BFC Daugavpils in the summer of 2021, where he struggled to make an impact before going on loan to Dainava.
Ademo quickly settled with the style of football in the Lithuanian league, displaying his talent week in and week out to contribute 1 goal and two assists in 18 appearances for his club.
His impressive displays for his club last season attracted interest from clubs in Europe. Among them was FC Sheriff, who has now beaten other clubs for the signature of the talented midfielder, and subsequently paved the way for him to play in the Moldovan League ahead of the coming season.
The Moldovan club unveiled their new 20-year-old player, among other new signings, on their social media page with the caption.
“Peter Oluwaseun Ademo has become our team player. A native of Nigeria. The football player is 20 years old. He began his career at the Real Sapphire club. The player’s last club was Lithuanian FC “Dainava”.

Known for his vision and excellent passing skills, the midfielder, was who playing as recently as 2019 for an amateur club in Lagos, has got the chance to play for a club that regularly plays in European competitions – and the club that stunned Read Madrid at their stadium just two seasons ago.
He has yet to represent Nigeria at any level in qualification or tournament, and he would surely hope to one day get a chance to represent his darling country.
