Although he missed the game against Blackburn due to injury, Tella's contribution was critical to Burnley's success.
The Clarets clinched the Championship title with a thrilling victory over Lancashire rivals Blackburn, thanks to Manuel Benson's second-half strike.
Burnley now has an unassailable 13-point lead over second-placed Sheffield United, confirming their deserved championship status with two games to spare.
This achievement is significant, given they were relegated from the top flight last season. The Clarets' promotion means they will play in the English Premier League next season.
Tella's impact on Burnley's success saw him named in the Championship team of the season, with only Middlesbrough's Chuba Akpom beating him to the Player of the Season award.
