Super Eagles star set to miss Manchester United clash

The Super Eagles star just returned from a long injury layoff, but he is set to miss more games

Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka is set to miss Brentford’s Premier League game at Manchester United on Wednesday Soccernet.ng reports.

Onyeka has spent more time on the sidelines than on the pitch this season. He suffered an injury in December 2022, and he only returned to action at the beginning of March.

However, the 25-year-old midfielder sustained a knock while on international duty with Nigeria.

He missed the Bees’ 3-3 draw at Brighton last weekend. And ahead of their game against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday, coach Thomas Frank has revealed that Onyeka will be unavailable.

“Frank(Onyeka) has a minor, minor injury,” Frank said ahead of the game.

Brentford thrashed Manchester 4-0 when both teams met in the first half of the season, and Onyeka played saw ten minutes of action in the game.

The Bees would be looking to do a Premier League double when both teams trade tackles.
