“I can score four in a game” – Osimhen on Haaland comparison

Haaland has been one of the best strikers in Europe this season, but some fans believe Osimhen is in his class

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that comparing him to Manchester City striker Erling Haaland propels him to do more.

Soccernet.ng reports that Osimhen has been phenomenal for Napoli this season. The Super Eagles striker is the leading scorer in the Serie A with 21 goals in 24 games.

He also has four goals in the Champions League. Osimhen’s strikes have helped the Partenopeans to their first UCL quarterfinal appearance.

The 24-year-old striker has been linked with a move away from Napoli. Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and PSG have all been in the conversation for his services.

He has also been compared with some of the best strikers in the world like Harry Kane, Lautaro Martinez, and Manchester City talisman Haaland.

Osimhen is pleased with the comparison, and he admits that the praises spur him to improve his game.

“Haaland is one of the best of his generation. So being compared to him and being considered one of the best forwards in the world gives me strength to do more,” Osimhen told Daily Mail per Tutto Napoli.

“I can score four goals in one game. I can also provide more assists, I can do many more things because I have the quality to do them.

“All I need is to work harder and then at the end of my career I can hopefully look back and say yes, I’ve done some wonderful things.”

Osimhen has struggled with injuries since he arrived in Naples. However, it has seemed to get better with each season.

If he wants to continue to be at the top, he needs to sort out his fitness issues and always be available to deliver for his team.
