Victor Osimhen has garnered media notice for his performances for Napoli thus far, with his goal-scoring form
The goal scored by Nigerian and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has been crowned the UEFA Champions League’s goal of the week.
The Super Eagles’ talisman scored twice against Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt to snap a two-game goalless streak.
The 24-year-old scored the 22nd goal of the season for the Parthenopeans by rising to head in a cross from Matteo Politano.
On the other side of the break, he gave Luciano Spalletti’s team a two-goal advantage by converting a close-range cross from Giovanni Di Lorenzo.
His first goal in the second leg of their doubleheader match against the Eagles defeats Karim Benzema’s strike against Liverpool, as well as the goals by Manchester City’s Kelvin De Bruyne and lkay Gündoan, to earn the Goal of the Week award.

For their quarterfinal matches, the Nigerian’s team will face off against Serie A opponent AC Milan, and it is expected that he would inspire them to victory against the Rossoneri.
He is anticipated to keep up his goal-scoring streak with the national team, though, when Jose Peseiro’s team plays Guinea-Bissau at the Moshood Abiola Stadium later this month.
