Iheanacho was one of the best players for Leicester City in February, and he has been recognized for his brilliance

Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho has been nominated for the Premier League player of the month for February.

Iheanacho had a tough start to the season, making only 14 Premier League appearances for Leicester City, most of which were from the bench.

However, things got better for him at the end of January when he scored against Walsall in the round of 32 of the FA Cup. Since then, coach Brendan Rodgers has started giving him minutes.

Iheanacho got a goal and an assist in consecutive games against Aston Villa and Tottenham. But he was caged in the Foxes’ next Premier League games against Arsenal and Manchester.

The 26-year-old forward’s performances did not go unnoticed, as the Premier League has nominated him for the player of the month award.

He will slug it out with Emerson Royal (Tottenham), Bernd Leno (Fulham), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Manor Solomon (Fulham), and Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa).
