Kanu played an important role in Arsene Wenger’s exploits in the Premier League, and the retired Super Eagles star has sent a message to his old boss

Retired Super Eagles striker Kanu Nwankwo has congratulated his former coach Arsene Wenger on his induction into the Premier League Hall of Fame.

Kanu had a great career, but his best years were spent at Arsenal, under coach Arsene Wenger. The 46-year-old striker created many beautiful moments for himself and the fans, registering 44 goals and 32 assists in 196 appearances for the North Londoners before he left the club in 2004.

His former boss Wenger was inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame alongside former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson on Wednesday, and he took to social media to congratulate the French man.

“Kan U believe it. Kanu wrote. Congratulations Arsene Wenger on your Premier League Hall of Fame induction.

Wenger and Ferguson are the first two managers to be inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame. The former Arsenal boss won three Premier League titles in his 22-year stay at the Emirates.
