Former Italy international Mauro Milanese has showered praises on Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen has grown to be one of the best strikers in the world. After struggling to hit the ground running in his first season at Napoli due to injuries, he picked up the pace last season, scoring 18 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions.

This season, the 24-year-old striker has been absolutely beastly in front of goal. He has been a terror to defenders. Osimhen has surpassed his personal best with 21 goals in 27 appearances for the Partenopeans.

His displays have caught the eye of many top clubs in Europe like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal. However, it may be difficult to price him away.

Former Italy defender Milanese has been impressed with Osimhen this season, and he has shared his thoughts.

Osimhen, may not have great technique, but he has incredible speed, physicality, and ability to break the matches,” Milanese said per Napoli Magazine.

“He is truly incredible. The Nigerian manages to take on all the opposing defense while guaranteeing a continuous propensity for depth.”

Osimhen’s efforts have helped Napoli cement their position at the top of Serie A. They have an 18-point gap and only need to win seven more games to claim their first Scudetto in over 30 years.
