The Italian-Nigerian defender is enjoying his last season in Italy before moving to the Premier League
Super Eagles-eligible defender, Destiny Udogie broke the deadlock for Udinese after just 25 seconds in the club’s Serie A meeting with Sassuolo on Sunday afternoon.
The youngster, who will move to the English Premier League to join Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season, smashed in a stunning strike a few seconds after kick-off at the Dacia Arena – Stadio Friuli.
Receiving a long pass on the left flank, Udogie cut back into his weaker right foot and curled a low finish into the far corner for the game’s opening goal.

With just 25 seconds on the clock when the ball rolled into the net, it is the fastest goal in Serie A this season and the third fastest in Europe’s top five leagues.
The goal is also the second-fastest one on record for Udinese since Roberto Pereyra’s strike against Atalanta on January 2021.
Udogie, 20, now has three goals in 19 appearances across all competitions this season.
However, the fine strike failed to inspire Udinese to a home win as Sassuolo twice fought from behind to earn a 2-2 draw.
Like Udogie, one-time Super Eagles invitee Kingsley Ehizibue featured from start to finish for Udinese while Nigeria international Isaac Success was a second-half substitute.
