Osimhen has been spectacular for Napoli since last season, and a lot of top clubs have eyes on him
Napoli President Aurelio de Laurentiis has warned potential suitors that the club is not willing to sell Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen has been spectacular for Napoli since last season. He scored 14 goals in Serie A, to help them to a third-place finish.
This season Osimhen has been beastly in front of goal. He has beaten his personal best, scoring 16 goals in 17 appearances.
Also, the 24-year-old hitman has managed to stay fit. Osimhen has spent just a month on the sidelines this season, a big improvement from his last two seasons at Napoli.
Osimhen’s displays have turned heads in Europe. Some of the big guns are looking to add quality to their roster next summer and the Super Eagles star is a great option.
Manchester United lack adequate quality in front of goal, as Antony Martial is yet to prove his mettle. Also, new striker Wout Werghost’s time at Old Trafford will expire at the end of the season.
Chelsea have looked incomplete without a proper poacher. Kai Havertz has been inconsistent.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is the only out-and-out striker at Bayern Munich, and PSG may be looking to add bite to their forward line.
Osimhen has been linked with these clubs, and they may be looking to test Napoli’s resilience next summer.
However, Napoli president de Laurentiis has warned that they are not ready to let Osimhen leave.
“I can tell you that Osimhen is not for sale,” Di Laurentiis said per Fabrizio Romano.
“Our players are in demand, but I don’t have to sell anyone. We don’t have any debts”,
Osimhen is one of Napoli’s prized possessions. He is valued at around €120 million. One sure thing is, for Napoli to let go of their star hitman, they would milk enough from any suitor.
