The Nigerian international is on the radar of several of the world’s biggest and wealthiest clubs with Spanish, German and English clubs hot on his trail
Italian transfer market expert Ciro Venerato has suggested that Victor Osimhen will not make a decision about leaving Napoli until the summer.
Osimhen has been the subject of transfer interest from some of Europe’s most successful clubs.
The race for Osimhen’s signature could reach unprecedented levels in the summer following the Super Eagles striker’s spectacular performance in Italy this season.
With 17 Serie A goals in his kitty already, Osimhen is the standout forward in the Italian top flight and his stock could rise further should he lead Napoli to the club’s first league title in over 30 years.
Aside from Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, Real Madrid are also reportedly eyeing a move for Osimhen as the Spanish champions are in the market for a long-term replacement for Karim Benzema.
But in a chat on 1 Station Radio (via Tutto Napoli), transfer guru Ciro Venerato claims Osimhen is not paying attention to the rumours at the moment.
The Nigerian international is expected to decide on his future after meeting with his representatives in the summer.
“Osimhen’s future will be decided in June, in a summit with his agents,” Venerato said.
“A contractual adjustment will be needed, to which the president is available, even going beyond the parameters of the club.
“If Osimhen then decides to give in to the sirens of the Premier League, an auction between Arsenal and Chelsea would be triggered, with figures that could be around €150 million.”
Osimhen won the Serie A goal of the month of January for his audacious strike against AS Roma at the Diego Maradona Stadium. The 24-year-old also scooped the player of the month award.
