Nottingham Forest just acquired the services of the Nigerian striker in the summer, but his displays have not inspired confidence
English Premier League club, Nottingham Forest, have not been impressed with Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis, and they could offload him this January.
Dennis joined Nottingham Forest from Watford in August for €14.8million. However, the Super Eagles striker has failed to replicate the same brilliance he showed at Watford last season.
The former Club Brugge has been more of a squad player since he joined. Dennis has made ten Premier League appearances this season, but seven of those have been from the bench.
The Telegraph reports that the Nottingham Forest coaching staff were unhappy with Dennis’ performance in their 3-0 loss to Manchester United.
Already, coach Steve Cooper has admitted that they are looking to add some quality to the squad. For that to happen, they would need to shed some weight. And according to The Telegraph, Dennis could be one of the scapegoats.
The Nigeria international has had a nomadic career, playing for five different European clubs in Europe.
Dennis is currently valued at €12million as per Transfermarkt. He has a big point to prove if he wants to remain at City Ground. The team is currently fighting tooth and nail to stay afloat in the Premier League.
An upsurge in his form would surely end any talks of ousting him at Nottingham Forest.
