“He is not a smart striker” – Japanese defender lashes at Nigeria’s most prolific forward in Europe over the last three years

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was the epitome of excellence in Napoli’s superb 2-1 triumph over AS Roma at the Diego Maradona Stadium in the Italian Serie A.

Osimhen, Africa’s most expensive player, scored a stunning goal that even Jose Mourinho has acknowledged to hand the Neapolitans an early advantage.

Roma equalised in the second half through El Shaarawy but Simeone’s late effort earned the maximum points for Napoli and kept the club steady on its march towards a first Serie A title in 33 years.

In the Primera División Femenina, Asisat Oshoala was the best player in the park as Barcelona forced a crushing 6-0 defeat down the throat of Gift Monday’s Granadilla Tenerife.

It is Oshoala’s 13th goal of another incredible season for the reigning champions.

In the Belgian First Division A, Paul Onuachu was at his predatory best to guide KRC Genk to convincing 4-0 win over bottom club RFC Seraing at the Cegeka Arena.

Onuachu set the tone of the evening with a fine penalty in the 7th minute and later scored the hosts’ third as the Smurf established a six-point lead over second-place Union Saint-Gilloise.

In the Czech Liga, Peter Olayinka bagged a brilliant brace to help Slavia Prague carve out a comprehensive 5-1 win over Joshua Akpudjie’s Jablonec.

Elsewhere, Victor Olatunji scored on his debut but it was not enough to lift Slovan Liberec to victory as they settled for a 1-1 draw at home to Pardubice.

In Portugal, Bruno Onyemaechi grabbed his first Primeira Liga goal of the campaign to lead Boavista to a fine 4-2 victory at home to Portimonense.

And in Turkey, Nigerian striker Aminu Umar came off the bench to score the winning goal that earned Bodrumspor all the spoils in their 2-1 away win at Adanaspor in a Turkish Lig 1 fixture.
