Osayi-Samuel closing in on Premier League switch

The Super Eagles star has impressed at Fenerbahce this season, and he has attracted interest from some English sides

English Premier League club Bournemouth are closing in on the transfer of Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel from Fenerbahce.

Osayi-Samuel started his career at Blackpool in England before switching to QPR in 2017.

The Okija-born wing-back then joined Fenerbahce in 2021 for €580,000. Since then, it has been a meteoric rise for Osayi-Samuel. His value has soared to €9 million as per Transfermarkt.

Osayi-Samuel has played 89 goals for Fenerbahce and he has three goals and six assists to his name.

The Super Eagles defender who just made his international debut has turned heads with his breezy eye-catching displays, and some clubs abroad have shown interest in securing his service. Napoli and Crystal Palace were all linked to him earlier in the transfer window.

However, according to Ekremkonur, Osayi-Samuel may be on his way to Bournemouth.

The Cherries are exploring the option of signing Osayi-Samuel on loan, but Fenerbahce may prefer a permanent transfer. And the Yellow Canaries want at least €12 million before they let go of their star right wing-back.

Bournemouth are looking to add some bite to their attack, and Osayi-Samuel could be their man, as he offers that will his quick feet and directness.

Even though he is a defender, the 25-year-old likes to support the attack, and his services could be useful to coach Gary O’Neil.

Fenerbahce may hold out for their €12million evaluation as Osayi-Samuel still has 30 months left on his contract.
