Official: Promising Nigerian youngster signs for Inter Milan

The teenage midfielder has sealed a move to Italy where he will look to continue his development

With a statement on their official website, Nigeria Premier Football League club, Remo Stars have confirmed that youngster Ebenezer Akinsanmiro has completed a move to Italian giants Inter Milan.

Akinsanmiro signed a four-year deal with the former Serie A giants which will keep him tied to San Siro until 2027.

An attacking midfielder who can also be deployed as a central midfielder, Akinsanmiro is a product of the Remo Stars football academy.

The talented youngster was part of the team that helped Remo Stars gain promotion from the Nigeria National League to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in the 2020/2021 season.

But his talents came to the attention of European clubs after excelling for the club’s youth team at the Creative Championship and Viareggio Cup World Football Tournament.

Akinsanmiro is expected to join Inter Milan’s Inter U-19 squad in the Campionato Primavera 1 under the tutelage of Romanian great Cristian Chivu.

Inter Milan u-19 were champions of the Primavera last season but they are presently struggling this term, sitting just outside of the relegation play-off in 13th position with 18 points from 16 games.
