Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti tags Victor Osimhen a ‘complete package’

The Super Eagles star continued with his impressive performance as he nets a volley against AS Roma in Naples. 

Napoli manager, Luciano Spalletti has saluted the incredible performance of the Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen following his performance against AS Roma. 

The Parthenopeans hosted Jose Mourinho’s men at the Diego Maradona Stadium where they defeated The Yellow and Reds 2 goals to 1.

The 24-year-old Super Eagles forward opened the scoring in the 17th minute, while Giovanni Simeone who came in as a bench sealed the victory for the Neapolitans. 

However, the Italian boss was impressed with the technicality of the goal he scored against Jose Mourinho’s side after controlling Kvicha kvaratskhelia’s cross and smashing it wide.

Spalletti while speaking to DAZN after the game, he applauded his performance. 

“We also didn’t give Osimhen the right service, but he did well to find the spaces anyway.” he said. 

The 63-year-old continued: “There is everything in that goal, technical quality, character to juggle the ball between two defenders, then he hit this rocket into the net, as he really has got a cannon for a foot.“

“He has physical strength, accepts the challenge, tracks back to help, is good in the air. He is the complete package.” Spalletti said.

With the crucial goals that increased their lead over the pursuing party of 19 Serie A teams with 13 points, Napoli proceeded on their path to winning the Serie A for the first time in more than three decades.
