“Come collect big 9” – Nigerian musician implores Osimhen to join Manchester United

Victor Osimhen has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle following his impressive performance for Napoli so far this season.

Nigerian artist Charles Chibueze Chukwu, better known by his stage name Crayon, has urged the Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen to join Manchester United amid transfer links.

The Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku wore number 9 last, and the Nigerian Afropop musician has challenged the Nigerian to come to claim it.

The fact that several European teams want to sign the Super Eagles star to enhance their squads is no longer breaking news.

The 24-year-old has reportedly been strongly linked with a transfer to Manchester United to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the team in November of last year.

The English club, who are on the strong hunt to sign an attacker, have, however may be prepared to pay a record-breaking sum to sign the player.

The Ijo crooner has, however urged the Super Eagles attacker to sign for the Red Devils by quoting a picture uploaded by Osimhen on Twitter.

“Howfa my bro! Osi nlaaaa! Man U dey find you!!! Abeg come Man U this summer after you win serie A ! Come collect big 9!!! 😭😭”. he wrote in pidgin English.

The striker replied to his countryman, responding to one of his music videos, answering the message from United.

He answered by writing “Crayway!!! Omo ope”,

Expressing appreciation for his efforts in return, and the singer praised him as “Best striker in da world”.

The Manchester-based club has however been reported to be lining up Tottenham’s Harry Kane as an alternative for Osimhen if the deal doesn’t fall through.
