The Australian Open final went down on Saturday, and a former Super Eagles star followed all the action
Super Eagles legend Sunday Oliseh has revealed his love for tennis whilst admitting that he is a ‘one-handed backhand tennis player’.
Oliseh is one of the biggest and best footballers that has come out of Nigeria. He recorded 54 caps with Nigeria and was part of the team that won Gold for Nigeria at the 1996 Olympics.
At club level, the Super Eagles legend was also successful. He played for some of the best teams in Europe like Juventus, Ajax, and Borussia Dortmund.
The 48-year-old is now a coach. However, Oliseh revealed via a tweet that he has other interests.
The Australian Open final took place on Sunday with Novak Djokovic beating Stefanos Tsitsipas in three sets.
Before the game, Oliseh shared his enthusiasm to see the game.
“Let’s go! Australian Open final,” Oliseh wrote.
“Though the Serve and movement are key roles, I feel the performance of the mentality and backhand could decide the winner.
“Advantage Djokovic? Tsitsipas and age will beg to disagree. I am a one-handed backhand tennis player in so join me”
