Alex Iwobi’s dad breaks silence on Everton forward’s injury

Following the results of a scan, Alex Iwobi’s father finally speaks out about the Everton attacker’s injury.

The father of the Nigerian international as concerned as football fans as given updates on Iwobi’s injury. 

Alex Iwobi’s dad, Chuka “Mahella” Iwobi, has claimed that the Injury of the Super Eagles forward is not as serious as it appears.

According to Soccernet’s source, Iwobi’s Dad, following the result of the scan, revealed that his son’s recover from the ankle injury in a couple of weeks.

Recall that the Nigerian forward, who appears to be Everton’s savior in the fight for survival, suffered an injury in the Blue’s FA Cup loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Alex Iwobi will be a desperate miss for Everton if ankle injury is as bad as it looks. 6 assists this season for a team lacking goals.

The 26-year-old was tackled by Dutch defender Tyrell Malacia while attempting to sprint through a counterattack for his team.

In a message received by Soccernet, the former Gunner’s father disclosed that Iwobi will be sidelined for approximately two weeks.

“Results of the scan are now out. It’s not as bad as previously thought – Alex will be out for approx 2 weeks. Thanks for all your support. Chuka” he wrote. 

The Super Eagles winger, sequel to this report would be out when they host Southampton, and when they visit West Ham at the London stadium.
