Super Eagles legends like Mutui Adepoju, Ike Shorunmu, and Finidi George finally received the gifts that the federal government had promised to them in 1994.

Former Super Eagles legends have recently received gifts promised by the Federal Government since 1994.

The Nigerian heroes, Finidi George, Ike Shorunmu, and Mutiu Adepoju have all been given keys to three-bedroom bungalows by the Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola.

However, according to reports, the national housing project also benefited Adewale Adesokan and Akin Amao, who at the time worked as the team doctor.

The minister of works and housing, Babatunde Fashola, handed them the keys at the project site in Onidundu, Akinyele Local Government Area, Oyo State, and stated the following:

“The beneficiaries are among the first set of Nigerians including the 1994 Super Eagles who would be handed keys to their houses that was promised by the Federal government over 28 years ago.

“We have entered a season of completion and handover of keys to beneficiaries in 35 states and the FCT to Nigerians who have successfully subscribed through the open ministry’s website for the sales of these completed houses.”

“I just have to be thankful to God and President Buhari for doing this during our lives time. 28 years, I am happy and thank God for the honour.” Adepoju remarked.

“I’ve never lost any hope in my country because if do I would have relocated to Europe.” says Shorunmu.

Adepoju, often known as the “Headmaster,” is claimed to have settled down well in Ibadan, the city from where he originally hails.
