Super Eagles target reveals Arsenal's rejection opened doors for him

Super Eagles target, who is a British citizen, has featured for Crystal Palace on many occasions.

Super Eagles target, Eberechi Eze, claims that moving on from Arsenal’s rejection gave him additional opportunities.

He revealed that if Arsenal and many other clubs did not reject him, he would not have had the opportunity to play for Crystal Palace.

The 24-year-old was reportedly released four times by Arsenal, Fulham, Reading, and Millwall until he eventually discovered QPR as the place where he might thrive.

Before his departure at age 13, Eze spent his formative years fantasizing about playing for the Gunners.

He never contemplated any other line of work, and his perseverance and hard work demonstrated his confidence in his ability to excel in football.

As quoted by Daily Mail, he said:

“I feel like it was such a long time ago now thinking about it. It was a tough, difficult period for me and my family and all the people around me. But that’s part of football, and you have to work and apply yourself to get back on your feet.

“But if it wasn’t for that moment and that situation. I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

The right-footed attacker played for QPR for four seasons before joining Crystal Palace, where he has so far found success.

Nevertheless, according to recent rumours, he was sidelined by the Three Lions for the 2022 World Cup despite playing for the nation’s under-21 teams.

Many football fans believe the English-born player shouldn’t have been dropped from the squad after his recent performance for Patrice Viera’s team.

The player, whose name is “Eberechi Eze,” not only has a Nigerian citizen’s name but also has Nigerian ancestry.

The Super Eagles and the Nigeria Football Federation are still hoping to recruit him despite Gareth Southgate’s decision to drop him for the World Cup match in Qatar.
