Ibeagha joins FC Dallas, who are presently in third place, from the Los Angeles Football Club, the most recent MLS Western Conference champion.
Nigerian defender, Sebastien Ibeagha, signed with FC Dallas as a free agent after leaving the top-ranked Los Angeles football team.
The Warri native and 2022 MLS Cup Champion penned a two-year contract with club options for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
From 2021 to 2022, the 30-year-old participated in 36 games for the Black and Gold.
He assisted in the team’s 2022 MLS Cup and Supporters Shield victories. In addition, he contributed to the third-best defense in the league—behind FC Dallas’ 37 and Philadelphia Union, who had 29.
A reporter for FC Dallas, Garrett Melcer, believes that the defender’s portfolio would offer a great deal of experience to the locker room.
He stated:
“Ibheaga played 23 times in all comps for LAFC last season. Brings experience as someone who knows the league well.”
