Life after Osimhen – Napoli could move for Manchester United target if Osimhen leaves

The Super Eagles striker is not radar of many top teams in Europe, and Napoli do not want to be caught unawares

Italian Serie A high flyers Napoli could attempt to sign Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko if Osimhen leaves the club.

Osimhen has been fantastic for Napoli since last season. He has established himself as a trustworthy talisman for the Partenopeans. Osimhen has scored 28 goals in 46 appearances since the last season.

The 23-year-old striker’s brilliance has not gone unnoticed, as some of Europe’s big boys have been monitoring his situation.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich have all been linked with the Super Eagles star in recent months. However, Napoli’s €100million evaluation has been a debacle for a transfer.

Still, if Osimhen continues with his brilliance, it would only be a matter of time before he leaves Italy.

Napoli do not want to be unawares and according to Forzazzurri, they want to sign Salzburg man Sesko as his replacement.

Sesko is being targeted by a host of clubs in Europe. Manchester United made attempts to sign him in the summer, but he signed to Leipzig in July 2023.

The pacy Austrian attacker is not as physical as Osimhen, but he is fast and clinical. He could be a decent addition to the Partenopeans. Sesko is valued at €20million as per transfermarkt.
