The Super Falcons star has had a tremendous last two years, and she is willing to do more

Super Falcons striker Gift Monday has shared her excitement after joining her new Spanish club UDG Tenerife.

Monday raised eyebrows with her eye-catching displays for Nigeria Women’s Football League side FC Robo. She wreaked havoc in opponents’ defenses with her combination of skills and pace.

She then sealed a move to Bayelsa Queens, where she helped the team their NWFL triumph last season with a twelve-goal haul.

The 21-year-old’s performance earned her a call-up to the Super Falconets in 2018 before moving up the ladder to the senior team in a few months.

Just after the last Women’s African Cup of Nations, Monday signed for Laliga Femini side UDG Tenerife in a two-year deal.

However, she just linked up recently, and she admits that is ready to give her all for the club.

“My first days have been very good, the welcome has been very nice, and I am very happy to be here,” Monday said as per Naija footballers.

“I am a player who helps a team with a lot of sacrifices. I am ready to play, and I am at the coach’s disposal.”

Monday made her debut for UDG Tenerife in their 1-0 loss to Las Planas Feminina. She started from the bench and was introduced into the game in the 60th minute when her team was a goal down.

Unfortunately, she was unable to help them get anything from the game.
