The Nigerian striker has dazzled in his short time in Italy, and Totti has been highly impressed

Legendary Italian striker Francesco Totti has stated that Nigerian hitman Victor Osimhen is the best striker in the Serie A at the moment.

Osimhen arrived at Napoli in a £75million transfer in 2020, and he has been impressive for the Partenopeans since then.

He struggled in his first season due to injuries, but he picked up the pace last season. The Super Eagles striker struck 18 goals in 32 appearances for the Partenopeans.

This season, Osimhen has taken to a notch higher, scoring nine goals in eleven games. The 23-year-old has proven to be integral to Luciano Spalletti’s lineup and has turned up against the big boys- something he failed to do in previous seasons.

Former Roma and Italy striker Totti has been impressed with Osimhen’s brilliance, and he feels the former Lille man is the best in Italy at the moment.

“The strongest striker in Serie A? Osimhen is in my opinion”, Totti said as per TuttoNapoli.

“First because he scores, when he gets the ball he scores. And then he makes himself available to the team. He’s always in the right place at the right time.

Osimhen has been spectacular for Napoli as they push for the Scudetto. The Partenopeans are scoring goals and creating chances.

If Napoli continue with their form and Osimhen stays fit. This season could be his best in terms of goal returns.
