The Nigerian striker has been brilliant for the Partenopeans in the last two seasons, and Denis believes he is the best in the league
Former Atalanta striker German Denis has revealed that he agrees with Francesco Totti’s opinion that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is the best in the Serie A.
Osimhen has been a consistent performer for Napoli in the last two seasons. The Nigerian striker struggled in his first season after arriving from Lille, but he picked up the pace last season.
The 23-year-old hitman was the best young player in the Serie A last season. In fact, since the beginning of last season, Osimhen has scored 24 goals in 38 games.
In an earlier report by Soccernet, former Roma talisman Francesco Totti stated that Osimhen is the best striker in Italy.
Apparently, Totti is not the only one who shares that line of thought. Former Atalanta striker Denis, also believes that Osimhen is better than Vlahovic, Immobile, Lukaku, and other strikers in the league.
“I agree with Totti, Osimhen is the best striker in Serie A,” Denis told Radio Kiss Kiss as per Napoli Magazine.
“The Nigerian is having a great time and is making a difference. If Napoli are ahead of everyone, it is because of Osimhen.” he added.
The Partenopeans are unbeaten in the Serie A this season, and they sit pretty at the summit of the league, eight points above AC Milan.
Osimhen has been critical to their title charge this season, as he has scored a lot of important goals. If he helps Napoli to the Scudetto this season, it would be the first time that the club would be winning the league in 32 years.
